Speed Ball is a fast paced game. Notice the man in the bright green with orange striped jacket, thats Allen, he is one of the referees.... Allen and I are Veteran Paint Ball players since the 1980's. We used Paint Ball as a major part of our youth ministry. Our rules were simple, no alcohol, drugs, tabacco, no cussing, swearing or bad sportmanship and within a matter of a couple of times playing, the language would change, the attitudes of macho and tough would go and the alcohol, drugs and whatever other baggage they would first bring to the field, were gone. I would encourage all youth pastors to work this game into their youth programs. The opportunities to teach self control, self esteem, positive attitudes and team work as well as the understanding that you will always be there for them no matter what, are easily taught in this sport.
